Senior Macon White was named the Southeastern Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday, Jan. 17.

White won the 200 and 500 freestyles against LSU and Texas A&M this past weekend, lifting Kentucky past the Tigers, 134-109. He helped the 23rd-ranked Wildcats come within nine points of the third-ranked Aggies. A 2000 honorable mention All-American in the 200 freestyle, White already has recorded provisional NCAA cuts in both the 200 and 500 freestyles.

The Kentucky men will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Cincinnati’s Laurence Pool at 1 p.m. to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats.
