(Nov. 9, 2000) — The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will play host to Tennessee’s women’s squad and IUPUI’s men’s squad on Friday, November 10, at 5 p.m. at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
UK’s men’s team (2-0) is coming off a win at Indiana, where the Wildcats took eight events. Diver Clayton Moss set a new school record on the one-meter (dual) as he recorded a lifetime best score of 344.55. David Tweedie recorded a lifetime best in the 1,000 freestyle in the meet with a time of 9:17.89. Shaun Zitani, Roger Watkins, and Daniel Wimer swept the top three in the 50 freestyle.
The women’s team (1-1) was defeated by Indiana, but hopes to rebound against Tennessee. The women won six events against the Hoosiers, including two victories by Melissa Olson in the 200 Individual Medley and in the 1,000 freestyle.
