(Oct. 18, 2000) — The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team will travel to Tampa, Fla. this weekend, October 20-22, to participate in the USF Invitational. The round-robin style tournament will also feature Wake Forest, Florida Atlantic and host South Florida.

Last weekend junior Reven Stephens had an impressive showing at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational, taking top honors in the singles consolation bracket. Sophomore Elliot Datlow chalked up his first win of the season when he defeated Furman’s Patrick Fillnow, 6-2, 6-3.

“We’re really excited to get the entire team out for a weekend of great tennis,” Coach Dennis Emery said. “This tournament showcases a lot of great talent and will give our younger guys a chance to test their skills against tough opponents.” Action gets under way Friday morning at 10 a.m., at the USF Tennis Complex and continues through Sunday afternoon.
