Georgia Game Selected by Jefferson-Pilot, Game TimeChanged to 12:30 p.m.: The Georgia at Kentucky game on Oct. 21 hasbeen selected for regional telecast as the “SEC Game of the Week” byJefferson-Pilot Sports. Game time moves to 12:30 p.m. at CommonwealthStadium.
Robertson, McCree Among SEC Defensive Leaders: Seniorlinebacker Marlon McCree and freshman defensive tackle Dewayne Robertsoncontinue to rank among the SEC defensive leaders.
McCree has 53 tackles this season, third in the league behind LSUlinebacker Trev Faulk (67 tackles) and Vanderbilt linebacker Matt Stewart(59). McCree has 5.5 quarterback sacks and is tied for the league lead in thatcategory with Stewart and Mississippi defensive end Derrick Burgess.
Robertson leads the league in tackles for loss with 11.5, followed by SouthCarolina defensive back Rashad Faison with 11 TFL and McCree with 10.5.
Junior Varsity Game vs. Campbellsville Rescheduled forOct. 30: The junior varsity game between Kentucky and Campbellsville hasbeen rescheduled for Mon. Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.
The game was originally scheduled on Sept. 25, but was postponedbecause of heavy rains that saturated the field.
LSU Game Available on Pay-Per-View: The Kentucky at LSUfootball game on Oct. 14 will be available on a live pay-per-view bas is.
Cable systems across the state of Kentucky are scheduled to carry thetelecast through the VideoSeat pay-per-view service. Fans should contact theirlocal cable system to receive price information and to order the game. Not allcable systems in Kentucky will carry the telecast.
Home satellite dish owners (large C-band dishes) located outside theservice areas of the participating cable systems may order the game by calling800-887-8277 beginning Monday, Oct. 9.
The game will be made available to Dish Network satellite owners onchannel 461. No phone orders will be taken for Dish Network subscribers.
They can order the game by following instructions on the television screen priorto kickoff on game day. Dish Network is the only small-dish service that willhave the telecast. The game will not be available on DirectTV, PrimeStar, etc.
Southeastern Conference rules prevent the game from being madeavailable to fans outside the state of Kentucky except for official alumni groupsthat have been approved by the University. There are no exceptions to thisrule. Official alumni groups should contact the University of Kentucky alumnioffice (859-257-8905) to receive approval. The cost per alumni group is $225.
“We are making this available as a service to our fans,” said Larry Ivy,UK Director of Athletics. “When an away game is not selected by thetelevision networks, we have a lot of fans express their desire to see it. Havingthe game on pay-per-view is the only way for us to make it available as a livetelecast.”
Rob Bromley will call the play-by-play for the telecast and Bill Ransdellwill provide analysis. The telecast will begin at 7:50 p.m. EDT on Oct. 14, withkickoff slated for 8 p.m. EDT.
