Men’s cross country takes fifth, women place fourth.

LEXINGTON, Ky (Oct. 8, 1999) — The men and women’s cross country teamparticipated in the EKU Invitational Friday. The men’s team finished fifthwhile the women finished fourth in the competition.

On the women’s team, Marie Patton finished 19th with a time of 19:50.5.Other UK women finishers include Liz Attig (21), Jennifer Osterhage (22),Stephanie Hendrickson (24), Jennifer Sauer (29) and Michelle Wolfe (31).

In the men’s competition, Kevin Panke finished 20th in a field of 49competitors. Other UK finishers include David Hall (25), Jeff Matheis (27),Donnie McCammon (31) and Barry Pronold (43).

The Wildcats will compete in a pre-NCAA meet on Oct. 16 in Bloomington,Ind.
