Over 700 Big Blue Madness tickets were ordered from the University ofKentuckys official web site, ukathletics.com, in just 13 minutes, assistant ticketmanager David Ellis announced.

UK, which will pass out nearly 8,000 tickets (tomorrow) Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10a.m. at the front ticket windows of Memorial Coliseum, made available 700 tickets tofans via the Internet at 5 p.m. today. Ellis said Big Blue fans from as far away as thestates of Washington, Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and South Carolina paid the$2 service fee for the free tickets.

“This was our intent when we decided to make the tickets available on the web,”Ellis said. “We were hoping our fans who could not make it to Lexington two straightweekends would have an opportunity to get tickets they normally couldnt obtain.”

Presently, more than 25 tents are pitched outside the front entrance of theColiseum. Madness will be held Friday, Oct. 13, 2000 at the Coliseum. Doors open at10 p.m. and the program begins at 10:30 p.m.
