The University of Kentucky women’s golf team is in 11th place after the first day of the SoutheasternConference/Atlantic Coast Conference Shootout in Destin, Fla. Junior Kristen Pepe is tied for 16th with her score of7-over-par 78.

Auburn leads the competition with a total of 305, with Furman close behind with a 307. Auburn’s Celeste Troche holds the top individual spot after her even par 71 performance today.

Other UK scores include junior Towa Okiyama, who is tied for 25 with a score of 9-over-par 80, and sophomore Kelly Anders, who is tied for 46th with an 85. Rounding out the UK performances are senior Jenny Throgmorton with an 89 and freshman Eva Gessner with a 94.

Competition continues through Sunday at the Raven Golf Club.
