(Sept. 28, 2000) — The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team heads to Columbia, S.C., to continue its fall competition this weekend, September 29 through October 1, for the Lady Gamecock Fall Tennis Classic.

The Lady Gamecock Classic is an individual tournament with two separate draws. The Wildcat contingent of 84th-ranked Brooke Skeen, 96th-ranked Carolina Mayorga, Lauren Rookledge and Sarah Witten will take part in the “A” flight, while Shannon Stafford, Leigh Bradwell, Jill Buckley and Amy Trefethen will compete in the “B” flight.

Other schools sending competitors include Wake Forest, North Carolina, Louisville, College of Charleston and host South Carolina.

Matches will begin on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
