The University of Kentucky women’s tennis doubles team of junior Carolina Mayorga and sophomore Sarah Witten advanced to thefinals of the consolation bracket of the T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Championships in Baltimore on Saturday.The Wildcat duo defeated 29th-ranked Marlene Mejia and Erin Neibling of North Carolina handily by a score of6-2, 6-0. Mayorga and Witten, the nation’s 11th-ranked doubles pair, will now face Southeastern Conferencefoes Julie DeRoo and Mira Radu of Ole Miss in Sunday’s final.

“Carolina and Sarah played a great match,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said. “This is a great step for our programto have a team in the final of a national tournament.”
