(Sept. 14, 2000) — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s preseason rankings have been released, and UK boasts two ranked singles players along with two ranked doubles pairs.

UK’s lone senior Brooke Skeen landed at No. 84 in the country while junior Carolina Mayorga is ranked No. 96. Mayorga’s name appears a second time in the rankings as she teams with sophomore Sarah Witten to comprise the nation’s No. 11 doubles team.

Skeen also made the doubles standings with sophomore Leigh Bradwell as the 45th-ranked squad in the nation.

The UK women’s tennis team will travel to Baltimore, Md. on Saturday, Sept. 16, to participate in the National Clay Court Championships.
