Tour Packages available for fans to witness C.M. Newton’s Enshrinement

During his memorable career as a player, coach and administrator, C.M. Newton traveled a lot of miles and touched a lot of lives-at places like Transylvania University, Alabama, Vanderbilt, and the University of Kentucky. His route now leads him to Springfield, Mass. where fans can join him on his trip to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Basketball of Fame, in conjunction with Sports Travel, Inc. of Hatfield, MA. has created a series of six first-ever Enshrinement Weekend specialty Tour Packages in order to bring basketball fans to Springfield, Mass. during the weekend of October 13-16 for this year’s Enshrinement Ceremony and events.

On October 13, Newton will be joined by Detroit Pistons All-Star Isiah Thomas, three-time NBA scoring champ Bob McAdoo, famed Tennessee women’s coach Pat Head Summitt, legendary DeMatha Catholic High School coach Morgan Wooten and the late Danny Biasone, inventor of the 24-second shot clock, for induction into the Hall of Fame Class of 2000.

Sports Travel, Inc. has designed a specialty tour priced at $995 for a five-day all-encompassing package. The agency is also offering a two-day stay in Springfield for $275 based on double occupancy.
