In just a few short years, this Event has put itself on the map and is now recognized as one of the premier college basketball tournaments in the country. We are thrilled to be involved and hope to raise even more money than last year’s Event.”
The 1999 Event, which featured tournament champion Stanford along with Duke, UConn and Iowa, raised over $500,000 for Coaches vs. Cancer.
Since 1995, Gazelle, producers of the Coaches vs. Cancer IKON Classic and the Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge, have raised over $1.0 million for Coaches vs. Cancer. Coaches vs. Cancer is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, dedicated to supporting Hope, Progress and Answers in the war against cancer.
