The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team lost to Vanderbilt 3-1Wednesday night in Nashville, Tenn. Commodore senior forward TonyKuhn netted two unassisted goals for Vanderbilt (4-7-3), the first of whichcame 43 seconds into the second half to give Vanderbilt a 2-1 advantage.His second score came in the 82nd minute.
Vanderbilt’s Steve Tramontin gave the Commondores the early 1-0 lead inthe 17th minute. UK senior midfielder Billy Dwyer scored off a rebound inthe crease at 23:10 in the first half to tie the score, before Kuhn gaveVanderbilt the offense needed to win the game.
Vanderbilt out shot the Wildcats 15-4 as UK goalie Brian O’Leary recordedseven goalie saves.
UK (11-5-2, 5-1 MAC) plays its conference finale in the Mid-AmericanConference Sunday, Nov. 2 at Miami (Ohio) at 1:00 p.m. The Wildcats aretied with Akron for the league’s top postition.
