Four Cats named to Kentucky Invitational All-Tournament Team.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 19, 1999) — The University of Kentucky men’s soccer teamdropped its first match of the season on Sunday, falling 1-0 to ninth-rankedCal State Fullerton in the final of the 1999 Kentucky Invitational at the UKSoccer Complex.

UK attacked Fullerton throughout the match but could not find the netsdespite holding a 15-10 shot advantage.

The Titans’ David Dischner tallied the match’s lone goal in the 67th minute ona one-on-one with UK keeper Brian O’Leary.

With the win, Fullerton improves to 6-0, while the Cats fall to 4-1.

On a lighter note for the Cats, UK’s Rob Frey, Lee Baker and Ilkka Janttiwere named to the KIT All-Tournament Team for their outstanding play overthe weekend.

UK next returns to the pitch on Wednesday, when the Cats travel toBowling Green to face intra-state rival Western Kentucky.
