Sophomore guard out indefinitely for violation of team rules.
(Feb. 10, 2000) — Carolyn Alexander, a member of the Kentuckywomen’s basketball team, has been suspendedindefinitely for violation of team rules UK CoachBernadette Mattox announced today.
The sophomore guard from Hazard, Ky., sawlimited action this season after dislocating her fingerin December against Cincinnati. She averaged 1.5points and 0.8 rebounds. As a freshman, Alexanderplayed in 27 of UK’s 32 games and averaged 3.5points per game.
Mattox will not comment on the matter.
