LEXINGTON, Ky. ((Feb. 27, 2000)) — The University of Kentuckywomen’s basketball team (14-13, 5-9) will faceAlabama (15-12, 5-9) in the first round of theSoutheastern Conference Tournament on Thursday,March 2 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Game time is slatedfor 1 p.m. at the UTC-Arena.

Kentucky and Bama both finished with 5-9 in theSEC. Alabama, who defeated UK in regular seasonaction in Tuscaloosa, received the No. 8 seed whileKentucky received the No. 9 slot.

The winner will meet top-seeded Georgia onFriday, March 3 in the second round at 1 p.m.
