LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky tennis player Lauren Rookledge finished in the top 20 in the women’s division of the Bluegrass 10,000 on Tuesday. The Bluegrass 10,000 is an annual race through downtown Lexington which boasts runners from all over the country. Rookledge finished the 6.2 mile run in 44:32.

Rookledge, a relentless worker, has been training throughout the summer preparing for her junior campaign at UK. The South Africa native played an important role in the Wildcats’ success last season by finishing 25-16 and winning 10 of her last 13 matches.

She also managed to drag along Coach Mark Guilbeau for the 10K. Guilbeau finished in the same time.
