STARKVILLE, Miss. – The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team (10-11, 3-5 SEC) lost to 23rd-ranked Mississippi State (9-5, 5-4 SEC) on Saturday, 5-2. Edo Bawono defeated 90th-ranked Jerome Le Belicard in three sets, 6-1, 6-7(7), 6-2, at the No. 3 position.

Sophomore Gustav Pousette handed Rene-Charles Combette his second loss of the season, defeating him 6-1, 6-3. Pousette’s win marks his fourteen straight set win of the season. In league play, he is now 6-2 (26-13 overall).

The Bulldogs won the doubles point, winning all three doubles matches.

The Cats will take on Alabama on Sunday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
