LEXINGTON, Ky – The Kentucky men’s tennis team will take on the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Complex in Lexington. The Cats are coming off a tough 4-3 loss to second-ranked Florida on Sunday. Tennessee defeated South Carolina, 4-3, on March 24.
No. 24 Carlos Drada will look for his second straight win. He beat the defending NCAA champion Jeff Morrison of Florida in two sets, 7-5, 7-5. Gustav Pousette and Johan Hesoun will also be looking for victories. Both are coming off wins over Florida. Pousette is currently undefeated in league play with a 4-0 record.
The Cats are currently 2-2 in SEC play, while the Vols are 4-1. In their last meeting on March 6, 1999, Tennessee defeated Kentucky, 5-2. Tennessee leads the series, 49-36.
