The University of Kentucky men’s golf team finds itself in 7th place entering the final round of competition on Sunday at the Silver Spring Shores Invitational in Ocala, Fla.
The Cats posted a team score of 574 after two 18-hole rounds on Saturday. Senior Ron Layman led Kentucky with a 2-under-par 142 for the day, putting him in a tie with five golfers for sixth place.
Other UK golfers include Wes Furnish and Pat Kelly with a 145, Andy Dustman with a 148, John Beckett with a 149 and Phillip Scherdien with a 163.
UK concludes competition on Sunday after a final round of 18 holes.
