GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team is 15th going into the final round of competition at the Gator Invitational Golf Tournament this weekend, February 12-13.
UK shot a two-round team total of 607, currently 67 strokes behind team leader Florida at 540.
Ron Layman led the Cats, hitting a 71-73144, and is currently tied for the No. 44 spot. Other UK scores included Wes Furnish’s 146, John Beckett’s 151 and Pat Kelly’s 166.
Florida’s Ben Banks currently leads the individuals with his 130.
Competition in the 23rd annual tournament concludes with the final round on Sunday.
