Carolyn Alexander, a member of the Kentucky women’s basketballteam, has been suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules UKCoach Bernadette Mattox announced today.

The sophomore guard from Hazard, Ky., saw limited action thisseason after dislocating her finger in December against Cincinnati. Sheaveraged 1.5 points and 0.8 rebounds. As a freshman, Alexander playedin 27 of UK’s 32 games and averaged 3.5 points per game.

Mattox will not comment on the matter.
