LEXINGTON, Kty. – The 22nd-ranked University of Kentucky women’s tennis team will face itstoughest test of the young season when they take on the second-rankedFlorida Gators on Friday, Feb. 11. Action will begin at 2 p.m. in theHilary J. Boone Indoor Tennis Complex on the UK campus.
“This is a very big weekend for us, not only are we starting SEC play, butit is against the No. 2 team in the country. The effort and enthusiasm ofthis team has been at the highest level for the past month,” Coach MarkGuilbeau said, “As a coach, I just want them to have fun competing. Itwill be great to finally be playing at home with the support of our friendsand fans.”
UK (2-0), coming off a pair of impressive 9-0 victories over Louisville andMiami (Ohio), will look to upset the highly ranked Gators (1-0) when theCats play host to their first dual match of the season.
