LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky placed athletes in the top fourin two of the three events on the opening night of the Rod McCravy MemorialClassic Track and Field meet at Nutter Fieldhouse.
Leading the way was Chris Daniel in the men’s pole vault. His top heightof 16-00.00 tied his season best set back in December at the Wildcat SpeedMeet.
In the women’s 20-pound weight throw, Rebecca Wedel claimed fourth placewith a toss of49-09.00.
The meet will continue Saturday at Nutter Fieldhouse as the field eventsresume at 10:30 a.m. with the women’s pole vault. Then at 12:30 p.m., therunning events will begin with the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles.
