Women grab hold of second place in the team standings.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The women Track Cats had a good day in the field events at the Air ForceInvitational Friday to take hold of second place in the team standingsafter the first day of competition.

Leading the way was sophomore Temitayo Adeagbo who finished second in thepentathlon, her first time in the event this season. Junior Shevan Threatsand freshman Semidele Adeagbo contributed to the team effort finishing thetriple jump in third and fifth places, respectively. Threats’ leap of40’10.50 is a season high surpassing her previous best of 39’09.25.

For the men, senior continued his consistent efforts in the35# weight throw. His toss of 64’08.75 was good enough for fourth place andwas his fourth consecutive NCAA provisional qualifying throw.

The competition at the Air Force Invitational continues Saturday while aportion of the team begins action at the Boston University Terrier Classic.
