Five Wildcats named to SEC Volleyball Academic Honor Roll.
Nov. 16, 1999
LEXINGTON, Kty. — The 1999 SEC Volleyball Academic Honor Roll was announced on Tuesday by SEC Commissioner Roy Kramer. Comprising the 62-member honor roll were five UK student-athletes. Sophomore April Barnhorst, juniors and Megan Weiskircher and seniors Jaclyn Homan and Jennie Reed earned the honors for their exemplary work in the classroom.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 or better grade point average for the past year or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for their career, a sophomore in terms of academic classification and have 24 semester or 36 quarter hours toward a degree.
Wallace, Weiskircher and Homan are two-time winners of the award as all three were honorees for the 1998 school year. The UK volleyball team also placed five members on last year’s SEC Academic Honor Roll.
