LEXINGTON, Kty. — The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team will playhost to its second and final exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7p.m. in Memorial Coliseum versus Premier Players Select.

The Wildcats won their first preseason game on Wednesday inMemorial Coliseum, defeating Sweden 83-75. Sophomore LaTonya McDole ledall scorers with 20 points.

The Premier All Stars, combined of former collegiate playersfrom such schools as Ohio State, UMass, Ole Miss, Ohio University andToledo, are 3-3 in its 10-game schedule. They are led by former OhioState and Kodak Honorable mention All-American in 1989, Lisa Cline.Cline, who has scored in double digits in all six games for the Stars,also coaches the team.

“We are looking to be more consistent in Saturday’s game,” UKCoach Bernadette Mattox said. “I was disappointed in our inconsistentdefense on Wednesday and we must continue to improve before we hit thisbrutal regular season schedule.”

The Kentucky women’s team begins regular season action onFriday, Nov. 19 when it faces Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn., at 8p.m. This season the Cats are looking to better their 21-11record-breaking season from 1998-99. The Cats participated in the NCAATournament for the first time in nine years and won a first round gamein the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 17 years.
