KIAWAH, S.C. – The Lady Kat golf team finished the Kiawah Island Oak Point tournament, their last of the fall season, in seventh place with the help of sophomore Towa Okiyama, who shot a 1-under-par 71 on the final day of competition. The Lady Kats had a team total of 921.

Okiyama?s 71 is a new low round for the sophomore. Freshman Marie Allen also achieved a new low round score after shooting 3-over-par 75 in the final round. She finished 57th in the tournament.

Freshman Rachel Lester tied her previous low round score of 74 in the final round. Lester?s score moved her up 13 places from 46th on Monday to 33rd on Tuesday.

Other Kentucky finishes include sophomore Kristen Pepe, who finished 40th, and junior Jenny Throgmorton, who finished 44th.

The Lady Kats will begin their spring season in February at the Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
