Boyce continues to collect honors for women’s soccer.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 7, 1999) — The University of Kentuckywomen’s soccer team received an at-large bid tothe 1999 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament theNCAA selection committee announced Sundaynight.

UK (16-2-2) will host the winner of theMontana-Texas A&M match in the second roundon Sunday, Nov. 14 at the UK Soccer Complex.The match is set for 1 p.m. Montana (12-5-1) andTexas A&M (15-4-1) will play their first-roundmatch on Wednesday, Nov. 10 in College Station,Texas.

“This is a reward for all the hard work we put induring the season,” UK coach Warren Lipka said.”The hard part is over so now we have to get readyto begin our second season.”

This is the fourth bid to the NCAA Tournament UKhas received during the program’s eight year history.The Cats have never played a second-round gameafter losing all three previous games in the firstround of the NCAA Tournament.

Boyce Named to SEC All-Tournament Team Freshman forward Keri Boyce was named to the1999 SEC All-Tournament team which wasannounced Sunday at the conclusion of the SECChampionship game in Nashville in which Floridadefeated Ole Miss, 3-0. Boyce was named SECFreshman of the Year by the league office onWednesday.
