LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team takes the courts for itsfirst home action of the season this weekend, Oct. 29-31, as Kentucky hoststhe first annual UK Fall Invitational at the Boone Tennis Complex.

Players from Abilene Christian, Austin Peay, Cincinnati, Marshall, andTennessee will battle the tennis Cats in a 32-player singles draw and a16-team doubles draw.

“We’re happy to have a fall tournament here in Lexington,” UK Coach MarkGuilbeau said. “There are some talented players in the draw and we shouldsee some great tennis.”

Action kicks off on Friday at 8 a.m. with play running all day Friday andSaturday. The tournament concludes Sunday with finals set for 1:30 p.m.

Admission is free.
