LEXINGTON, Kty. – Senior defensive end AnwarStewart won the “Compaq Best Hit of the Week in College Football” awardin recognition of his crunching block on Kendrick Shanklin’s 54-yardpunt return at Georgia.

Stewart is the third Wildcat to win a “Compaq Play of the Week” award inthe 1999 season. Tight end James Whalen won the “Best Hustle Play ofthe Week” for his 57-yard touchdown reception, capped by a dive into theend zone, vs. Louisville. Dougie Allen won the “Best Reception of theWeek” for his diving, one-handed, 24-yard touchdown reception againstArkansas.

Team Schedule for the Week: The Kentucky football team will notpractice from Oct. 25-29. The team will have weightlifting andconditioning workouts Monday through Thursday. The team will be off onFriday. Practice resumes on Sat. Oct. 30 as the team beginspreparations for a Thursday, Nov. 4 game at Mississippi State. Here is the team schedule:
