LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men?s golf team will play its final tournament ofthe fall season on Oct. 25-26 when the Wildcats tee off at the Gary KochInvitational in Tampa, Fla.
The tournament is co-hosted by the University ofFlorida and Central Florida at the Old Memorial Golf Course.
It has been a strong fall season for the UK men?s team while the players haveposted several outstanding individual rounds.
A highlight of the season came onOct. 18 when junior Wes Furnish posted a career-best 69 en route to a thirdplace finish at the University of Louisville Intercollegiate.
Freshman AndyDustman also recorded a 69 on Oct. 11 as he paced the Cats to a fourth-placefinish at the Xavier Invitational, the school?s top finish this fall.
The Cats will be heading south to face some of the nation?s top college golfingtalents. Top teams participating in the tournament include No. 11 Florida, No.18 Oklahoma, No. 19 North Florida and No. 20 Auburn.
In addition to Florida,SEC foes Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee will also be competing.
