LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team continues its fall seasonthis weekend, Oct. 8-11, when the Cats travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for theSEC Fall Tournament.

Unlike the team tournament in the spring, the fall event is an individualcompetition with players from all SEC schools involved in the “A” and “B”flight draws.

“This is a great chance for us to face some top-level competition,” UKCoach Mark Guilbeau said. “We get to compete against some of the SEC’stoughest players and have a chance to get some very big wins.”

UK’s Carolina Mayorga, Brooke Skeen, Shannon Stafford, Amy Trefethen andSarah Witten will compete in the “A” flight and Wildcats Lauren Rookledge,Jill Buckley and Leigh Bradwell will battle in the “B” flight.

Matches begin Friday at 8 a.m. with the finals set for 8 a.m. Monday, Oct.11.
