LEXINGTON, Kty. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team topped SMU 5-3 on Sunday infinal-day action at the Purdue Fall Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind.

Lauren Rookledge claimed two singles wins on the day, while Brooke Skeen,Leigh Bradwell and Jill Buckley also won singles matches for UK.

The Wildcats finished the weekend with a 2-0-1 mark, best in the four-teamfield.

“I’m so proud of the way our team competed this weekend,” UK Coach MarkGuilbeau said. “This is a great way to start our year.”

The Tennis Cats return to the courts this weekend, Oct. 8-10, when theytravel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the SEC Fall Tournament.
