Players from the UK men’s tennis team finished day one action at the 2nd Annual Charles Fluitt Collegiate Classic with a 4-7 singles record and 2-1 in doubles. The Wildcats’ top two players, No. 27 Carlos Drada and No. 54 Johan Hesoun, each won their matches on Friday evening against Baylor opponents, Johann Jooste and David Hodge, respectively.
Only four players – Marco Baron and Chris McDonald of Mississippi State, Mark Williams of Baylor and Peter Handoyo of Tennessee finished the day with two victories against no defeats. A total of twelve players, including Drada, Hesoun and Johan Grunditz of Kentucky, finished the day at 1-0.
