The University of Kentucky junior varsity football team will play itssecond game of the season on Thursday, Sept. 23, when it travels toGeorgetown’s Applebee’s Field at 7 p.m., in Georgetown, Ky.The Wildcats, 1-0, routed Maryville College at Commonwealth Stadium lastweek, 45-0, in their first match-up and UK Coach Sonny Dykes hopes to seehis team take that momentum into Thursday’s game.

“We expect them to be very tough and competitive,” Dykes said. “Theirvarsity team is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA and our defense is looking forwardto playing a team like Georgetown.”

The Cats look to avenge last year’s 48-40 loss to the Tigers. The jayveeCats are 1-1 all-time versus Georgetown.
