LEXINGTON, Kty. – The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team will play host to the annualKentucky Invitational Soccer Tournament this weekend, Sept. 17 & 19, at theUK Soccer Complex.
The undefeated Cats (3-0) will look to win the KIT for the fifth time insix tries and extend their current KIT win streak of six matches.
Ninth-ranked Cal St. Fullerton (4-0) and Dayton (2-1-1) kick off thetournament Friday at 5 p.m., with Kentucky set to battle Navy (2-1-2) at7:30 p.m. in the nightcap.
The KIT concludes on Sunday with Navy and Dayton facing off at noon and UKand Fullerton following at 2:30 p.m.
“The tournament is really loaded this year,” UK Coach Ian Collins said.”Navy has a big, physical squad, Dayton is always a regional power, andFullerton is in the nation’s top 10. Fans can really see some great soccerthis weekend.”
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children with tickets available atthe gate.
