LEXINGTON, Kty. – Bonner, Allen Lead Nation: After one week of play, Kentuckyquarterback Dusty Bonner leads the nation in total offense. LastSaturday against Louisville, Bonner completed 34 of 62 passes for 446yards. Subtracting minus-37 rushing yards because of sacks, Bonner hada net total offense of 409 yards.
In addition, sophomore wide receiver Dougie Allen leads thenation kickoff returns. Allen averaged 49.5 yards per return lastSaturday.
Senior tight end James Whalen is ninth nationally in receptionswith eight catches and tied for 15th in receiving yardage with 115. Heis second nationally in scoring with 20 points.
Sophomore kicker Marc Samuel is tied for fourth in field goalsmade with two.
As a team, Kentucky leads the nation in passing offense with 446yards. The Wildcats are fifth in kickoff returns with a team average of35.2.
