Bonner, Kelly Team Win “Wildcat Games”: Each week in February and March,the players were divided into 10 teams for the “Wildcat Games,” acompetition that combined fun with various conditioning activities. Pointswere accumulated on a weekly basis. The winning team was captained bysophomore quarterback Dusty Bonner and junior cornerback Eric Kelly.
Commonwealth Stadium Construction Update: Construction crews are erectingstructural steel, pouring concrete on the upper concourses, and erectingwalls for concession stands and restrooms on both ends of the stadium. Inaddition, decking and seating are being installed on both ends. Both ends of Commonwealth Stadium are being enclosed. The project will addabout 10,000 seats, bringing capacity to approximately 68,000. Up to $27.6million may be spent on the stadium expansion, which is expected to beready for the opening of the 1999 season.
Watch the Stadium Construction: Fans may view photographs of the stadiumexpansion on the internet site www.uky.edu/stadium. A camera has beenmounted in the press box and is pointed toward the west (NicholasvilleRoad) end zone. Photographs are updated every five minutes.
