The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team returns to action this weekend as the Wildcats travel to Columbia, S.C., for the Lady Gamecock Fall Classic.

Competing for the Cats will be Massoumeh Emami and Kelly Brown in the “A” flight, Christy Sigurski and Brooke Skeen in the “B” flight, and Shannon Stafford and Jackie Spicijaric in the “C” flight. Joining Kentucky in the tournament will be South Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest and defending national champion Florida. “The competition in this event will be top-notch,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said. “It will give our women a chance to test themselves against some of the nation’s best.”

The tournament begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
