LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 3-ranked University of Kentucky rifle team will participate in the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, March 1, at the Buell Armory on the UK campus. Smallbore competition takes place on Saturday, and air rifle begins on Sunday. All four teams in the conference-second-ranked West Virginia, Jacksonville State, Xavier and UK-made it to the final eight of the NCAA Championships last year.

The Wildcats are coming off a win at the NCAA Sectional Competition on Feb. 14 in Murray, Ky. UK won both the team smallbore and air rifle competitions, and Mary Elsass won the individual air rifle contest. Jacksonville State finished third.
