LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Kentucky men’s golfer Jeremy Langley has claimed his fourth consecutive top-10 finish, placing fifth at the Persimmon Ridge Invitational.
Langley fired two 75s in the 36-hole event to finish at 150, just four strokes behind medallist D.A. Points of Illinois at 146. As a team, UK finished sixth in the 20-team tournament, carding a two-round total of 620, 19 strokes behind champion Illinois.
UK’s Ryan Rieckhoff also had a strong tournament, shooting a 155 and finishing tied for 24th. Wes Furnish finished at 157 and tied for 40th, while Ron Layman and John Beckett fired 160s and tied for 57th.
The tournament was UK’s last of the fall season and the Cats will next return to the links February 13-14 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
