DALLAS, Texas – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis tandem of Massoumeh Emami and Kelly Brown will begin play on Thursday, Feb. 4, in the 22nd-annual Rolex/ITA National Indoor Tournament.

Emami and Brown, the nation’s 18th-ranked duo, will face the 12th-ranked tandem of Amanda Basica and Annica Cooper from UCLA in first round action at 2 p.m.

The tournament, the third leg of the ITA Grand Slam, features top players from around the country and is the most selective of the Grand Slam events.

“This is a huge accomplishment for these women,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said.

“The National Indoor Tournament is such a prestigious event. It’s truly an honor to be selected.”
