The University of Kentucky track and field teams completed their portion of competition at the 1999 NCAA Outdoor Track Championships in Boise, Idaho on Saturday evening.

UK sophomore Shevan Threats finished 19th in the womens triple jump finals with a jump of 12.74m. Stacey Bowers of Baylor won the event with a jump of 13.97m.

In mens action, UK junior Matt Kavanagh finished 7th in the hammer throw with a distance of 221 feet, 4 inches. Northeast Louisianas Andras Haklits captured the event title with his throw of 243 feet, 1 inch. The UK track and field teams will conclude their season June 18-19 at the USATF Junior Championships, and June 25-26 at the USATF Senior Championships in Richmond, Va. and Eugene, Ore., respectively.
