ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team finished 10th at the WolverineInvitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., this weekend, May 8-9.
The Cats fired a three-round team total of 895 to finish 46 strokes behindchampion Minnesota at 849 in the 18-team tournament.
UK’s John Beckett fired a final-round 69 to finish tied for 12th with a5-over 218 for the three rounds. James McLean of Minnesota, the 1998 NCAAGolf Champion, won the individual competition with an 11-under 202.
Other Cat finishers were Jeremy Langley in 32nd with a 224, Ron Layman andRyan Rieckhoff tied for 66th with 230s, and Jay Knight in 87th with a 236.
