LEXINGTON, Ky. – Back-to-back-to-back home runs by Aaron McGlone, John Wilson, and BreckPrice put Kentucky ahead of Georgia and gave the Wildcats the victory, 6-4.

Georgia jumped ahead first, scoring two runs in the third and adding tworuns in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs’ Josh Hudson singled in the firsttwo runs to extend his hitting streak to 23 games. Singles by MarkThornhill and Kris Edge gave Georgia a 4-0 lead.

Kentucky’s bats came to life in the bottom of the fourth inning. AndyGreen singled to lead off the inning and Aaron McGlone hit a home run tochip into Georgia’s lead. John Wilson belted his eighth homer in as manygames and fourth of the weekend to leave UK only one run down. Breck Pricehit a solo shot over the right-center field wall to tie the ball game at 4-4.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the sixth inning when theWildcats manufactured two more runs to take the lead. Wilson singled toopen the inning and advanced to second on a Price ground out. Robert Newtonwalked to put men on first and second, and Will Crumbaugh singled in thefirst run of the inning. Third baseman Kyle Hooker singled and drove inNewton to give the Wildcats their final lead, 6-4.

Sophomore John Wilson had a career series, batting 8-13 with four homeruns and six RBI. The California native currently has a 15-game hittingstreak intact.

The Wildcats return to action Tuesday, April 6, at 6 p.m., playing host toEastern Kentucky University. The Colonels beat Kentucky 9-8 last week inRichmond, Ky.
