LEXINGTON, Ky.–The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team, which ended its seasonwith an 87-63 loss to UCLA in the second round of the NCAA tournament inLos Angeles Monday night, returns to Lexington on a commercial flightTuesday at 6:32 p.m.

Coach Bernadette Mattox’s squad finished the seasonat 21-11 and earned the most wins by a Kentucky women’s squad since the1989-90 team finished 23-8. The Wildcats were picked to finish last in theSoutheastern Conference this season, but tied for fifth and won theprogram’s first NCAA tournament game since the 1981-82 team advance to theMidwest Regional finals.
