Kentucky, Louisville Women’s Basketball Game Set for Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The date has been set for the annual meeting between Kentucky’s and Louisville’s women’s basketball teams, which are both coming off Sweet 16 appearances, it was announced by head coach Kenny Brooks on Kentucky Statehood Day.

The two teams will meet for the 62nd time in the all-time series on Wednesday, Dec. 9, with the game being held at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center. The tip time and TV designation will be announced this fall.

Fans interested in new season tickets can now place a deposit – at no cost – to secure their spot in line for women’s basketball’s home campaign, including the UK-UofL game at Rupp Arena, in 2026-27. Fans who had season tickets last season will be contacted about the renewal period this summer.

The Kentucky-Louisville game is the first schedule announcement for the Wildcats going into 2026-27.

It also was previously released that Kentucky will play NC State in the 2026 Ally Tipoff this season, while that date and time will be announced soon. Fans can sign up for pre-sale information for that game by clicking here.

The Wildcats have a two-game win streak over the Cardinals, their longest since a five-game win streak from 2011 to 2015. The last time the Cats and the Cards tipped off in Rupp Arena was on Dec. 11, 2022, with the Cats taking a 86-72 loss.
