The University of Kentucky men’s cross country team finished in sixth place among 31 other teams at the Furman Invitational Saturday. Freshman Jennifer Kehoe finished in 3rd place in the women’s 5K race, leading the Wildcats to a ninth-place finish.
Kehoe’s third- place finish was just three seconds short of first-place Valarie Young from the Atlanta Track Club. The top finisher for the Wildcats in the men’s 8K race was Cort Neal, who finished in 23rd with a time of 26:30.
Other Wildcats finishers include Stacy Sullivan, who finished in 46th, and Jennifer Osterhage who finished in 47th in the women’s race. In the men’s competition, Brad Bieber and Jeff Limpert finished 26th and 34th, respectively.
