LEXINGTON, Ky.- The 26th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s tennis teamopened the 1999 season with wins over Bowling Green and Miami (Ohio) onWednesday.

The Wildcats (2-0) swept all six singles matches without dropping a setagainst both teams. Against BGSU (1-2), the Wildcats dropped only onedoubles contest to notch the 7-1 win. UK then defeated Miami (3-3) by ascore of 8-1, losing only the No. 3 doubles match.

UK next sees action when the Cats travel to Bloomington, Ind., toparticipate in the Indiana University Invitational.
